Zurich Financial Services Group has appointed Peter Wright as group head of human resources, effective 21 February 2011, succeeding Peter Goerke, who left Zurich in January 2011.
In his new role, Wright will be responsible for leading the global HR function, reporting to Christian Orator, chief administrative fficer, and will be located in Zurich.
Wright joins Zurich from AIG in New York, where he was executive vice president and chief human resources officer, Worldwide Life and Retirement Services.
Previously he has held executive positions in HR for global organizations, such as BP, Estee Lauder, Merrill Lynch Mercury Asset Management, Korn/Ferry International and Unilever.
