Willis Group Holdings (WSH), the global risk adviser, insurance and reinsurance broker, has established its Financial Solutions Specialist Unit in the Nordic Region.
Azzizza Larsen has been appointed to lead the new political risk, terrorism and trade credit specialist unit in Copenhagen, which concentrates offering services for political, trade credit and terrorism risks for large multinational and financial institutions in the region.
Acting as executive director of Financial Solutions, Larsen will report to Paul Davidson, global product leader for Political Risk, in London.
Prior to being promoted to the new post, Larsen has spent the last seven years in the Willis Financial Solutions practice in London offering advice and tailored insurance services to large corporates with financial and political risk exposures globally.
Paul Davidson said that the firm is pleased with this new development in the Nordics which represents a logical expansion of its existing geographical centers of financial solutions excellence in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.
"Our Nordic unit will bring a more tailored and focused offering to the Nordic companies facing these volatile risks as they increasingly look to expand overseas," Davidson added.
Willis currently has 800 employees in the Nordic region with full service offerings in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The company operates over 400 offices with 17,500 staff globally.
