Wells Fargo Insurance appoints managing director of San Francisco office

Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, a part of Wells Fargo & Company, has appointed John Grotts as managing director for its San Francisco office.

As managing director, Grotts will be responsible for client service, market relations, employee development and recruitment, and sales.

He will report to Brian Hetherington, regional managing director for Wells Fargo’s San Francisco Bay Area Region and will be based in San Francisco.

Grotts has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, where he assumed various roles including client advocate, sales manager and office leader. Before joining Wells Fargo, he was CEO of Willis of California for over ten years.

Leveraging its size and significant presence in the San Francisco and Northern California markets, the business combined the San Francisco South Bay and North Bay regions, providing customers with improved service and access to insurance and financial resources.

With offices in San Francisco, San Carlos, Redwood City, Scotts Valley, Walnut Creek and Petaluma, Wells Fargo is well-positioned to serve the insurance needs of customers throughout the Bay Area.
