To expand Berkley Specialty Underwriting Managers' environmental underwriting operation
W. R. Berkley Corporation has appointed Kenneth Berger as president of the environmental division of Berkley Specialty Underwriting Managers.
In his new role, Mr Berger will be based in New York. He will be responsible for expanding Berkley Specialty Underwriting Managers’ environmental underwriting operation.
Mr Berger has over 24 years experience in the insurance industry and has served as a senior executive for several underwriters of environmental and specialty insurance.
William Berkley, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley, said: “We expect the addition of Ken’s expertise will allow us to substantially increase our presence in the environmental area.”
