Mr. Rotella will be responsible for the development and execution of information technology initiatives

Verisk Analytics, a provider of risk assessment solutions, has appointed Perry Rotella as senior vice president and chief information officer.

Mr. Rotella will be responsible for the development and execution of information technology initiatives at Verisk Analytics in support of the company’s business operations.

Frank Coyne, chairman, president and CEO of Verisk Analytics, said: With IT management experience spanning more than 23 years in diverse industries, Perry is an acknowledged thought leader in information technology. He brings a wealth of professional IT accomplishments to our organisation.

Before joining Verisk, Mr. Rotella was senior vice president and chief information officer of Moody’s Corporation, where he served as the first CIO for the corporation and was responsible for all aspects of information technology strategy, support, and operations globally.

Prior to that, he served as CIO for AIG’s Domestic Brokerage Group and as AIG’s global chief technology officer, responsible for setting global technology direction and leveraging technology to support new sources of revenue.

Mr. Rotella currently serves as the president of the New York chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM).
