Verisk Analytics, a provider of risk assessment solutions, has appointed Vince McCarthy as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy.

Mr. McCarthy is responsible for identifying and evaluating new strategic opportunities that align with Verisk business operations and growth initiatives. In partnership with other senior business leaders, he will lead the design, planning, and execution of the overall business strategy and will be responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions strategy across its businesses.

Frank Coyne, chairman, president and CEO of Verisk Analytics, said: Having worked in investment banking for more than 15 years both in the United States and Europe, Vince has particular depth of expertise with growth companies, including those backed by private equity and venture capital firms, and with companies with multi-vertical business structures.

Before joining Verisk, Mr. McCarthy was a managing director in the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Financial Technology Investment Banking group, where he focused on financial technology, payments and processing, and analytics.
