USI Insurance Services has acquired Cohen-Seltzer, a third generation family-owned insurance agency in the US, for an undisclosed amount to further expand its market share in the MidAtlantic.
Established in 1926, Cohen-Seltzer provides comprehensive risk management programs and financial solutions for both commercial and personal lines of business.
Cohen-Seltzer and the existing USI Plymouth Meeting, PA office will be integrated to extend USI’s reach as one of the largest middle-market insurance brokerage firms in the MidAtlantic region.
USI Insurance Services president, CEO and chairman Michael Sicard said the acquisition will play an important role in the company’s mission of becoming the national brand in the middle market and specialty market.
Cohen-Seltzer president and CEO Daniel Seltzer said that it shares in USI’s value proposition of providing clients with a comprehensive risk management plan and expands the dialogue from an insurance checklist to a proven and measureable process.
