USAIG has expanded its claims staff with the addition of Sherry Ortiz as claims attorney in the airlines/central claims office and David Seiler as vice president, claims attorney to its Atlanta branch.

In her new role, Ms Ortiz will report to Cristina Schoen, senior vice president of the USAIG airline claims department, while Mr Seiler will report to William Ranieri, senior vice president-deputy director of claims.

Prior to joining USAIG, Ms Ortiz was a law clerk at Trope & DeCarolis and worked at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of the Regional Counsel. Mr Seiler has 13 years of aviation insurance litigation experience and joins the company from Delta Air Lines where he worked as in house counsel. Previously, he was a senior associate at Shook, Hardy & Bacon and an associate at Burd, Downs & Magathan.
