Touchstone Health, a New York-based Medicare Advantage insurer, and HealthCare Partners (HCP), an Independent Physician Associations (IPA), have entered into a long term agreement to provide more products and services to medicare patients.

Touchstone chairman, president and CEO Bryan Birch said, this agreement will allow us to focus on growth and product differentiation.

“HealthCare Partners will provide a perfect complement to our Company. Company’s goal is to keep our members at their optimal state of well being. HealthCare Partners is a proven resource to help us deliver these services to our members,” Birch said.

Touchstone offers a diverse portfolio of product options, including a choice of zero and low dollar co-pay plans.

Touchstone’s membership is projected to increase to more than 20,000 in January 2011. These members will now have access to HCP’s quality care initiatives, including the Personal Care Coordinator program, by which members will have health care Coordinators assigned to assist them in accessing their medical care.

HealthCare Partners vice president of administration Paul Alfaro said, by collaborating with Touchstone, our combined networks will allow us to deliver more products and services.
