Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group (TIIG), a marketing unit of Transamerica Life Insurance Company (TLIC) and its affiliates, has appointed James Hahn as the new vice president of sales.
Mr Hahn has joined TIIG from Lincoln Benefit Life, where he served as national sales manager for fixed/variable life and fixed annuities sold through brokerage general agencies. Prior to that, he was a regional vice president for Lincoln, and national sales director with Financial Resources of America.
TIIG said that Mr Hahn will be responsible for growing the sales and enhancing its distribution relationships. He will also work closely with the marketing team on development of customized strategic plans for the top distributors.
Marty Flewellen, president of TIIG, said: “To start, he has what it takes to support an independent distribution channel. Plus, he has exceptional skills when it comes to relationship building, creative problem solving and strategic planning and he has the drive to generate high-quality sales.”
