Oversee all underwriting, administrative, finance, legal and regulatory functions of the operation

The Hartford Financial Services Group, has appointed Christopher Magee as managing director of the company’s Hartford Financial Products International (HFPI) subsidiary, which underwrites corporate management liability insurance for multi-national commercial entities and financial institutions.

Mr Magee will report to Michael Dandini, senior vice president of Hartford Financial Products (HFP). He succeeds Stephen Minihan, who is retiring from The Hartford after nearly 20 years of service.

Mr Magee, who joined The Hartford in 2003 and has served as chief underwriting officer for HFPI since the London office opened in 2007, will oversee all underwriting, administrative, finance, legal and regulatory functions of the operation.

Michael Dandini, senior vice president of Hartford Financial Products, said: “Chris has played an integral role in the growth and expansion of HFP’s international presence in specialty financial products over the last six years. With his depth of experience, expertise and knowledge of the international market, Chris is well-suited to lead HFP’s continued growth in serving the global placement needs of clients throughout Europe and other parts of the world.”

Prior to joining The Hartford, he served in senior regional underwriting positions with both Kemper and Royal & SunAlliance in the US.
