The Hartford Financial Services Group has appointed Sabra Purtill as new senior vice president and head of investor relations, effective 13 June 2011.
Purtill will report to Christopher Swift, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Purtill comes to The Hartford with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Most recently, she was managing director of investor relations at Assured Guaranty. Prior to joining Assured Guaranty in 2003, Purtill was senior vice president, Corporate Finance at ACE, where she focused on investor relations, financial communications and strategic finance projects.
Purtill was a sell-side analyst following the insurance industry from 1996 to 2002 and a commercial and investment banker focused on insurance and non-depository financial institutions from 1987 to 1996.
