The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company has selected Guidewire BillingCenter as its new billing management system to manage both direct and broker billing.

The Dominion business senior vice president solutions Steve Whitelaw said BillingCenter will help Dominion to offer options to its policyholders, that suit how they prefer to interact with the company, whether through their broker, online or by using smart phones.

The solution enables the company to tailor payment practices and methods to customer preferences including providing support for mobile device and interactive voice response (IVR) systems, make informed business decisions due to the quality and accuracy of system data.

The company will also be able to reduce system maintenance costs and centralise support by eliminating multiple legacy billing system, and make system changes to meet changing business and technical requirements.

Guidewire BillingCenter is a comprehensive billing and receivables management system designed to automate the billing lifecycle, design flexible billing, payment and delinquency plans, manage agent commissions and enable rapid integration with external payment systems.

Available as a standalone system or as part of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, BillingCenter can be integrated to a general insurer’s legacy systems or third party applications.
