SUNZ Insurance Company, a workers' compensation provider, has partnered with CorVel, a provider of a range of services and programs to companies who provide workers' compensation solutions.
SUNZ said that it services professional employer organizations, staffing companies and large companies, and had recently expanded their coverage area to include 13 total states.
CorVel provides third party administration (TPA) programs to companies offering workers’ compensation solutions. They provide solutions which reduce workers’ compensation costs through proactive medical treatment plans and programs that allow injured workers to return to work.
The company said that CorVel’s claim management team follows a structured model in preparing claims. They offer a technology–based first notice of loss (FNOL) solution via the internet which can determine and sort high priority claims, while effectively managing each case to prevent it from becoming complex.
In addition to structured model CorVel uses to manage claims, the company also provides an integrated program that includes proprietary medical bill review, case management and PPO Networks via local customer service supported by national resources.
