Sun Life Financial has announced the appointment of new Senior Vice President and General Manager for the US annuities division. Stephen Deschenes will manage Sun Life’s annuity business, working with the company’s actuarial, distribution and marketing units to create a diversified portfolio of products.
Earlier, Mr. Deschenes served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Retirement Income Group owned by MassMutual Financial Group. A graduate from Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University with a BA in Psychology and Social Relations, Mr. Deschenes holds NASD Series 7 and 24 licenses.
