Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, a subsidiary of Sun Life Financial, has agreed to acquire full ownership of Buffett & Company Worksite Wellness, it has held a 36% interest in since 2008.
Buffett & Company is a evidence-based workplace wellness programs provider in Canada. It also provides consulting services across Canada, working with public and private sector clients.
Sun Life Financial Canada senior vice-president, group benefits Stuart Monteith said this acquisition will put Sun Life at the forefront of the workplace wellness movement, enabling the firm to deliver edge programs and services to help employers create healthier, more productive workplaces.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
