Stewart Title Guaranty, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services, has formed a Northern New England Agency Services District to optimize efficiency and strengthen the services and support to title agencies in Northern New England.

The new agency service will bring together Stewart’s independent title agencies in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont into one district.

To lead the new district, Stewart Title has promoted Stephen Dinsmore as senior vice president and Northern New England Agency Services District manager, and James Bilodeau as vice president and director of sales.

Both attorneys and title industry professionals, Dinsmore and Bilodeau joined Stewart in 2007 with experience in sales, agency relations, underwriting and claims to their new roles in establishing new agency relationships and growing those within Stewart’s existing network of quality independent agencies, while focusing on the core competencies of the district.

Harold Hayes will continue to serve as senior vice president and Northeastern States Agency Services District Manager, responsible for Stewart’s independent agency operations in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Stewart Title Guaranty executive vice president George Houghton said because there is such a high concentration of independent agencies in the Northeastern US, this organizational change will allow the company to give greater oversight to the agency network, and in turn lead to continued growth and increased profitability while providing better service to these title agencies.
