Sovereign General Insurance Company has joined hands with IDT911, North America's identity and data risk management services provider, to offer privacy breach assistance to cyber policyholders.

IDT911 offers proactive and reactive privacy breach services to business policyholders that manage, store, and share data of all kinds, including high-risk customer, credit, patient, and other sensitive information.

Sovereign General technology national product manager Robin Hylands said, "This alliance will enhance our coverage offering and provide additional services for our insureds.

Under the partnership, Sovereign General’s policyholders will use an online breach website equipped with exclusive resources to enable business owners recognize data risks, as well as federal and provincial compliance laws and their notification requirements.

It will also grant access to IDT911’s online training tools, which will allow businesses better understand privacy risks and manage their data liabilities as well as on-call professional assistance to firms to enhance their data privacy procedures.

Headquartered in Calgary, the Sovereign General manages eight regional and services offices, and caters services for specialized and complex insurance needs of Canadian businesses.
