Scottish Re Group has reported total revenues of $231.3m for the second quarter of 2010, a decrease of 27.2% compared to $317.8m for the same quarter prior year.

Net premiums earned for the second quarter of 2010 was $117.1m compared to 122.4m for the comparable period last year.

Scottish Re’s income before income taxes was $74.5m for the quarter compared to $177.4m for the same quarter in 2009.

For the quarter ended 30 June 2010, Scottish Re posted a net income of $77.9m, or $0.36 per diluted share, compared to $176.8m, or $0.81 per diluted share, for the same period last year.
