Una, which represents 12 independent regional insurance brokers in the UK, said that the partnership with RSA and Allianz will enable its members to offer clients with most suitable products and services to protect SMEs against traditional and emerging risks, as reported by POST.

Una’s SME group supervised the tendering process and was managed by Mark Ace Consulting.

Una and its broker members will collaborate with RSA and Allianz to offer various types of packages and products for contractors, shop and salon owners, offices and surgeries, restaurants and pubs, tradesmen, commercial property owners, and residential property owners, according to the news portal.

Una executive chairman Tim Ryan was quoted by Post as saying: "Working with Mark Ace Consulting was a new strategy for Una but it worked extremely well and brought in considerable expertise that benefited the members and partners involved in the project.

"Whilst SMEs are experienced and knowledgeable within their given sectors and industries, this doesn’t mean they are savvy when it comes to researching and buying insurance."

"This new deal with RSA and Allianz aims to fill that void ensuring SMEs are provided with the right deal with the correct tools along with trusted and honest advice."

Founded in 1997, UNA operates as an insurance broking market place and provides customers an independent service, with the expertise and shared resources of over 35 locations across the UK. It has combined workforce of more than 1,000 employees.
