Australia based general insurance provider QBE has launched a new e-learning training program for its clients. QBE will partner with online fleet risk assessment company, E-Training World, to deliver this program.

QBE said the e-learning program is designed for experienced drivers in motor fleets, such as company car or lorry drivers, to sharpen their knowledge and awareness of the road.

The online training focuses on areas such as hazard perception, observation, use of hands free sets and overtaking.

QBE managing director Motor Matthew Crane said e-learning is a highly effective tool for fleet managers, as it delivers a consistent quality of training to a diverse and often geographically spread group of drivers.

"QBE’s innovative initiative will help maintain a strong focus and awareness of road safety amongst whole fleets of drivers. All drivers can benefit from additional road safety training and this learning system is a convenient and effective way to enhance those skills," Crane said.

Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, QBE Insurance Group is an international insurer and reinsurer with operations in all the key insurance markets.
