Prudential Retirement has announced the appointment of Frank Waltman as the head of the organization's investment products team.

In this role, Mr Waltman will have overall management responsibility for the investment platform that Prudential Retirement offers to defined contribution, defined benefit and non-qualified plan clients.

As head of investment products business, Mr Waltman will report to George Palms, senior vice president, and will oversee an open architecture product suite comprised of equity, fixed income, balanced, and other retail and sub-advised investment offerings, totaling more than 1,000 individual funds and approximately $100 billion in invested assets.

Mr Waltman will also direct Prudential Retirement’s due diligence advisor program, which utilizes a multifactor process, incorporating both risk and return, to evaluate investment performance. He will also oversee the continued development of the firm’s institutional sub-advised funds platform, which has grown to encompass over 50 funds and $22 billion in assets.
