Prudential Annuities, the domestic annuity business for Prudential Financial, has appointed Michael Gillespie as national sales manager for its financial institutions team, formerly called the bank channel.
Mr Gillespie joins Prudential Annuities from Hartford’s Planco Financial Services, where he served as vice president of the mid-Atlantic division managing the wirehouse, banks and independent channel sales teams.
According to the company, both Mr Gillespie’s appointment and the function name change are part of Prudential’s ongoing commitment to the distribution of annuities through financial institutions.
