Protective Life has appointed John Deremo as senior vice president and chief distribution officer and David Gutierrez as senior vice president and chief information officer. Both of them will report to Carolyn Johnson, executive vice president and COO.
Mr Deremo will be a key member of the life and annuity division leadership team with overall responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution functions of both Protective Life Insurance and West Coast Life Insurance.
Mr Gutierrez will provide leadership for the strategic development and management of information, information resources and technology to support the fulfillment of the company’s business strategies.
Ms Johnson said: I am very excited to have someone with John Deremo’s skills and experiences lead us into the future. John’s leadership in this role positions the organization to take advantage of the opportunities ahead. Dave Gutierrez is a strong addition to our senior management team.
