US-based ProSight Specialty Insurance has collaborated with the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to introduce an exclusive insurance offering for NABCEP certified solar professionals.
NABCEP executive director Richard Lawrence said: "Our partnership with ProSight Specialty Insurance demonstrates how installation companies, and the solar industry as a whole, benefits from a trained and certified workforce."
Both the organizations have partnered to advance NABCEP certification by providing insurance premium credits to qualified solar installation companies that have secured NABCEP company accreditation or have certified professionals on staff.
The partnership will present the new offering at the fourth Annual Continuing Education Conference in Albany of New York, designed for NABCEP certified professionals who required continuing education credits in order to maintain their certification.
ProSight Specialty Insurance energy president Mary Hughes said: "NABCEP certified contractors bring a ‘gold standard’ level of safety and skill to every project and we value NABCEP’s leadership and commitment to furthering educational excellence in the renewable energy industry.
ProSight offers different products, including property insurance, inland marine, umbrella liability, general liability, builders risk, workers compensation, auto insurance and general liability with professional liability coverage.
