The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies is set to deploy Accenture Duck Creek's policy and rating software, in a bid to enhance its property and casualty commercial lines business.

Progressive

The insurer has selected Duck Creek software to facilitate rapid product deployment and improve customer service, as well as to achieve operational efficiency by offering a common platform for policy, underwriting and rating.

Accenture Duck Creek global managing director Michael Jackowski said: "As an industry leader and innovator, Progressive is focused on utilizing advanced technology to create an environment that is conducive to its ‘ease-of-use’ business approach that is welcomed by customers and agents."

According to Accenture, the Duck Creek software will provide Progressive with a single point of change to manage product and business rules across its online, agency and call center channels.

Accenture Duck Creek Policy and Rating are two of the core components in the software suite, which also includes billing and claims solutions.

Each component provides flexibility to implement independently or combined for an integrated approach to manage all aspects of the P&C insurance lifecycle.

Progressive offers insurance for personal and commercial autos and trucks, motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles, and homes. It offers home insurance through select carriers, including its majority-owned subsidiary, American Strategic Insurance (ASI).
