Pohjola Insurance, a Finland-based non-life insurer, has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter as its new claims management system, for improved customer service and claims settlement processes.

The deployment of the solution was started in August 2010 with the auto line of business other lines to be followed in next phases.

Pohjola Insurance said that it will upgrade its claims settlement processes and over time will consolidate its multiple claims systems on Guidewire ClaimCenter.

Guidewire ClaimCenter is a claims management system, built to meet the specific needs of current non-life insurers.

The solutions’ business rules enable claims organizations to define, enforce, and continually refine their preferred claim handling practices in order to optimize and monitor their claim processes.

Pohjola Insurance Claims executive vice president Pauli Sarelius said that Pohjola expect ClaimCenter will evolve with the business and will help to deliver the flexible, efficient, customer-focused claims service for customers.
