Plymouth Rock Assurance, an auto insurance company, has launched a new mobile website that will enable customers to manage nearly every facet of their insurance policies using a web-enabled mobile device.

Plymouth Rock said that it can now streamline insurance management to meet needs of customers by coupling the new consumer technology with increased customer demand for on-the-go services. By typing plymouthrock.com into a mobile web browser, customers will be directed to the mobile site that is formatted to their devices’ specifications.

The new Plymouth Rock mobile site features a user-friendly interface developed by Conmio and as an added convenience, users of smartphones and other mobile devices can access Plymouth Rock Mobile Services by taking a snapshot of specially-coded posters. The code-reading technology allows mobile phone users to use the Internet.

The company said that the new mobile service is available to Massachusetts and Connecticut customers. The mobile eServices is designed to make insurance process simpler by allowing consumers to: call to report an accident 24/7; view and pay a bill online; find, call or map and get directions to a local agent’s office; view a policy; and talk to a customer service representative during normal business hours.

Chris Olie, president of Plymouth Rock Assurance, said: Plymouth Rock is committed to providing agents and customers with the latest technology that will make doing business with us easier than ever. Allowing consumers to use a mobile phone to report a claim, find an agent or view and pay a bill is just another example of Plymouth Rock’s commitment to delivering more than just insurance.
