PIFC consists of 21st Century, Farmers Insurance, Progressive Insurance, Safeco and State Farm Insurance and Allstate Insurance

The board of directors of the Personal Insurance Federation of California (PIFC) has voted to accept Allstate Insurance as the association’s newest member.

Allstate joins the five other companies which comprise the Personal Insurance Federation of California — 21st Century, Farmers Insurance Group, Progressive Insurance Group, Safeco and State Farm Insurance Companies, which combined represent more than $12 billion of personal lines premium written in California. The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is an associate member of PIFC.

William Vainisi, Allstate’s vice president of government and industry relations, said: Allstate is pleased to join PIFC and its affiliated companies. PIFC has established itself as the premier property and casualty trade association in California. Allstate is grateful to the PIFC member companies for welcoming us into this great organisation.

Rex Frazier, president of PIFC, said: We are very proud to have a respected company such as Allstate join our existing member companies. We have a proven tradition at PIFC of working to find solutions to complex insurance policy matters and we know that Allstate will work hard to uphold that tradition as a dedicated member of our federation.
