Patriot National Insurance appoints president of underwriting subsidiary

Florida-based Patriot National Insurance Group has appointed Richard Turner as president of its subsidiary, Patriot Underwriters.

In this new role, Turner will oversee Patriot National’s managing general agency, program administration, and business process outsourcing.

Turner was previously executive vice president of Patriot National Insurance Group and will retain these responsibilities.

Turner joined Patriot National Insurance Group in 2008. Before joining Patriot National, he was senior vice president of Lexington of American International Group.

Previous to this, he served as president of Commonwealth Risk Services and held leadership positions at Liberty Mutual, Mutual Risk Management.

Patriot Underwriters produces, underwrites and administers alternative market and traditional workers’ compensation insurance plans for insurance companies, segregated cell captives and reinsurers.
