Patriot National has purchased R.C.A. Insurance Group (RCA), which serves as property and liability program administrator to the hospitality industry.
RCA offers preferred insurance programs developed specifically for restaurants, bars and taverns in the US.
Patriot National CEO Steven Mariano said: "The acquisition of RCA strengthens our position in the hospitality space and is consistent with our growth strategy to broaden Patriot National’s fee-based product offerings in niche industry segments where we can offer a differentiated product suite."
The acquired business will be included in the Trigen Insurance Solutions Patriot National’s operating subsidiary that focuses on the commercial insurance lines.
RCA, which operates as a third-party administrator for major carriers, is expected to expand Patriot’s claims administration platform.
RCA executive vice-president Kevin O’Connor will continue to provide services and report to Trigen executive vice-president Joe Babin.
Patriot National offers technology and outsourcing solutions within the property and casualty marketplace for insurance companies, employers, local governments and reinsurance captives.
