UK broking firm Oxygen Insurance Brokers, the Lloyd's accredited broking operation of Oxygen Holdings, is to establish a new management risk practice to place a strong emphasis upon serving commercial and financial institutional clients.
Calvin Barnes from Heath Lambert Financial & Professional Risks has been appointed to head the practice, to deliver insurance solutions in the commercial and asset management sectors.
In addition to focusing on its core practice relating to directors and officers’ liability insurance, the team will also offer a range of tailored insurance products relating to the public offering of securities, errors and omissions, crime, pension trustee liability, and employment practice liability, among other things.
The exposure that directors face from the development of corporate governance is proving a minefield for clients, many of whom are in need of skilled advice, said Nigel Barton, CEO of Oxygen Holdings. Calvin and his team are specialists in this field and have a proven track record of not simply giving off the shelf products to their clients, but instead, listening carefully and tailoring their products appropriately.
