Ohio National Financial Services, a provider of insurance products, has appointed Larry Adams as its new senior vice president and chief agency officer.
Mr Adams will replace the company’s executive vice president of agency and group distribution, Gates Smith, who will retire on June 30, 2008 after nearly 25 years of service.
Mr Adams will be responsible for individual life and annuity sales in Ohio National’s traditional, independent and career distribution channels.
Mr Adams began his career in an agency environment as a career agent. Since May 1982, he has been affiliated with Protective Life Insurance Company. In 1986, he was promoted to Protective Life Insurance’s headquarters operations gaining experience in advanced underwriting, product development and marketing services. He was most recently the company’s vice president of independent agent distribution.
