Nationwide Building Society has enlarged the range of products that can be covered under the extended warranty insurance. The cover will be provided free of charge for products purchased with its credit cards.
The new definition of cover includes electrical items such as IPOD/MP3 players/MP4 players, DAB radios, camcorder with hard drive, DVD with hard drive, IPOD docking stations, portable DVD players, home cinema systems and freeview boxes, which were not previously included. Items such as washing machines, fridges, ovens, dishwashers and televisions continue to be covered.
Nationwide Building Society (NBS) said that it is one of only a few major credit card providers to offer its customers this feature. By registering a new purchase, people can get one year’s free warranty, giving them up to three years free warranty in total on the defined range of products.
