The MGIS Companies, a US based provider of insurance products and services for physicians, has appointed Randall Tate as its new vice president of sales.

The MGIS Companies president & CEO Jeff Brunken said Tate’s financial and analytical experience combined with proven sales, strategic and interpersonal skills is ideal fit for growth of the company’s business in close coordination with its partners.

"In an increasingly competitive and uncertain healthcare business environment, his depth of experience and management skill will play a key role in helping our company continue a long history of growth and success," Brunken added.

Tate, who suceeds Joseph Sadowy, will be responsible for sales activities for all MGIS group disability and medical-professional liability products nationwide.

Previously Tate had served as a regional sales vice president for MGISand also managed its Consumer-Directed Healthcare division, and most recently served as director of underwriting for all MGIS life and disability product lines.

Tate also worked as an analyst and in various management positions with JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs & Co.
