The Mercer Insurance Group's health and benefits business has launched a national specialty consulting practice focused on life, accident and disability solutions for employers with 5,000 or more employees.
Mercer’s team of specialty consultants work with employers to help them reduce costs, upgrade plan designs, streamline administration, and get the full value of their life, accident or disability plan, whether simple or complex. The life, accident and disability (LAD) specialty practice is led by Rich Fuerstenberg.
The LAD practice was introduced as a pilot program in the US Northeast in 2006, and in its first two years helped more than 30 Mercer clients save over $40 million in total. Based upon that response, the program is now being rolled out nationally, according to Mercer.
