Provide physical medicine management services to CWCS clients using the Coventry Integrated Network
MedRisk, a claims services and specialty managed care company serving the workers’ compensation industry, has entered into an agreement with Coventry Workers’ Comp Services (CWCS), a division of Coventry Health Care. MedRisk would provide physical medicine management services to CWCS clients using the Coventry Integrated Network.
As per the new program, injured workers will have access to MedRisk’s national network of physical therapists, occupational therapists and chiropractors who specialise in the treatment of work-related injuries. CWCS clients will benefit from MedRisk’s prospective and retrospective physical medicine management services that deliver superior network savings.

More than 20 percent of comp claims involve physical medicine, making it a significant driver of these rising costs. CWCS plans to introduce MedRisk’s network solution to existing clients in the upcoming months as part of its new physical medicine program. The program will also be included in its national medical network offering for all new clients.
