Florida- based MDW Insurance Group has appointed Norbert Fernandez as new chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Norbert will oversee the insurance marketing and management of all the operational functions of the organization.
Norbert has more than 24 years of experience in both commercial and personal lines. Prior to joining MDW, he was the director of marketing and client service for USI Insurance Services, in Ft Lauderdale, a portfolio company of Goldman Sachs Capital Partners.
He has expertise in risk analysis, underwriting and negotiations with admitted carriers and surplus line brokers nationally and internationally.
MDW Insurance Group agency president Ivor Bamberger said that his depth of knowledge of the insurance marketplace will be invaluable as the company continues on its growth plans for the future.
