Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA), a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh, has hired John Sames as regional executive vice president of its New York City and Milford, Connecticut, offices.
In his new role, Sames will be responsible for the overall growth strategies, including talent development, sales management, and acquisitions, in those two regions.
Most recently, Sames served as president of USI Holdings’ Washington, DC metro office and prior to that, he was vice president and national practice leader of USI’s management and professional services Insurance sector.
Marsh & McLennan Agency Northeast regional president and CEO Steven Grossberg said that John has spent almost his entire career creating insurance and risk management solutions for middle market companies, and he intrinsically understands the needs, challenges and opportunities of this market sector.
