Mapfre Asistencia has signed an agreement with French firm Compagnie Européenne d'Assurances to perform collectively in the French travel insurance sector.
As per the agreement, Mapfre Asistencia will perform the management and risk underwriting operations in this area and CEA staff will be joining Mapfre Asistencia.
The firm told Insuranceinsight that the Mapfre Asistencia’s French subsidiary will provide all its worldwide experience in travel insurance to be combined with the superior position benefit from CEA on the French market, its distribution channels and current customer portfolio.
The team comprised of over 50 professionals will continue to perform administrative, commercial and claims management operations for the marketing and sale of travel insurance, mainly through travel agents, brokers and tour operators.
