Lockton, a privately held insurance broker, has named Eric Silverstein as new senior vice president of its national casualty insurance practice.

Silverstein, who holds more than 25 years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, will also lead the national accounts team for the Southeast US.

He will provide support and guidance to Lockton clients in the Southeast and nationally simultaneously strengthening relationships with leading insurers who underwrite the risks.

Lockton executive vice president and risk practice leader Tim DeSett said Silverstein will offer innovative approaches to the company’s clients for their casualty risks.

Prior to joining Lockton, Silverstein served as casualty practice leader at Beecher Carlson for 8 years.

He started his career at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Wausau Insurance and also worked with several regional and global brokers.
