Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of Liberty Mutual Group, has restructured its US specialty casualty unit to better serve its clients and to more effectively access business opportunities.

The company has made various organizational changes including, appointing Carl Pursiano as chief underwriting officer and senior vice president for US specialty casualty. He will oversee management liability and professional liability for the LIU US.

Liberty International has named Trevor Howard as the senior vice president of US management liability in charge of all management liability operations; Christopher DePuy as senior vice president in charge of lawyers professional liability and accountants professional liability; and Georges Pigault as the vice president of architects and engineers.

In addition, the company also appointed Michael Auerbach as vice president of allied health and miscellaneous programs; and Mark Blankenship as the assistant vice president of architects and engineers in Chicago.
