Liberty Mutual Group, a Boston-based diversified insurer, has established a new Information Technology development center in Boston and has commenced hiring 100 new full-time employees to staff the operation.
The group is hiring entry level and experienced positions in various roles who will work with both mainstream and new technologies, including web and mobile development, and cloud computing.
Liberty Mutual Group chairman and CEO Edmund Kelly said that the IT operations are critically important to Liberty Mutual’s future success as a global insurer.
The insurer presently has IT development centers in Dover and Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Indianapolis, Indiana; and, Seattle, Washington.
Liberty Mutual Group offers insurance products and services, including personal automobile, homeowners, workers compensation, commercial multiple peril, commercial automobile, general liability, global specialty, group disability, assumed reinsurance, fire, and surety. The group employs more than 45,000 people in more than 900 offices globally.
