Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), the largest listed insurance broker in the UK, is poised to buy smaller rival Health Lambert.
According to JLT, talks between the two parties are currently ongoing, however they are at an early stage and no firm commitment has been reached.
Quoting media reports, Reuters has suggested that the price tag for such a venture would be in the region of GBP130 million. At such a valuation JLT would not need to raise any equity capital to afford the deal.
