Revenues for the third quarter of 2009 were $8.9m

InsWeb Corporation, an online insurance marketplace, has announced the results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009.

The revenues for the third quarter of 2009 were $8.9m, an increase of 12% as compared to $8.0m in the second quarter of 2009, and a decrease of approximately 1% as compared to $9.0m in the third quarter of 2008.

The net loss for the third quarter of 2009 was $0.87m or $0.18 per diluted share. This compares with a net loss of $0.6m or $0.12 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2009, and a net loss of $0.55m or $0.12 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2008.

Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP financial measure used by InsWeb’s management and defined below, was income of $0.19m in the third quarter of 2009, as compared to a loss of $0.47 in the second quarter of 2009 and to a loss of $0.43m in the third quarter of 2008.
