INSIA, an insurance broker network in Central and Eastern Europe, has entered the Romanian market with the opening of its subsidiary in Bucharest.

The move is part of the company’s aim to build a strong franchised insurance broker network by covering majority of Romania’s regions.

The insurer aims to open at least 50 Romanian offices over the next three years, with agreements for the first two offices already in place.

INSIA Romania business development manager Alexandru Arsene said INSIA model will provide high quality services for a variety of insurance products, from retail to small- and medium-sized firms.

"We want to attract the best Romanian insurance experts in the INSIA network, willing to develop business in the field," Arsene said.

The INSIA model has been already launched in several markets, including Poland, Romania, Italy and Hungary.
