Q2 revenue increased 13%

Independence Holding company (IHC) has reported 2009 second-quarter and six months results.

The net income (loss) per share from continuing operations increased to $.13 per share, diluted, or $1.97 million for the three months ended June 30, 2009, as compared to $(0.43) per share, diluted, or $(6.69 million) for the three months ended June 30, 2008.

The net income (loss) per share from continuing operations increased to $0.35 per share, diluted, or $5.33 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, as compared to $(0.24) per share, diluted, or $(3.62 million) for the six months ended June 30, 2008.

IHC reported operating income per share of $.08 per share, diluted, or $1.62 million for the three months ended June 30, 2009, compared to $.20 per share, diluted, or $3.07 million for the three months ended June 30, 2008.

The company’s operating income per share was $.23 per share, diluted, or $3.56 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, compared to $0.40 per share, diluted, or $6.16 million for the six months ended June 30, 2008.

The revenues of the company increased 13% to $100 million for the three months ended June 30, 2009, compared to revenues of $89.31 million for the three months ended June 30, 2008. The revenues increased 3% to $199.97 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, compared to revenues of $193.73 million during the corresponding period previous year.
