Humana, a health and supplemental benefits company, has named Oraida Roman as the new president of its Medicare operations in Nevada, US.

In her new position, Ms Roman will have responsibility for the overall strategic direction and growth of Humana’s Medicare business in the state. She will also ensure the integration of 26,700 members residing in Clark and Nye counties who were recently acquired through Humana’s purchase of UnitedHealth Group’s SecureHorizon Medicare Advantage HMO business.

Ms Roman has been with Humana for more than 11 years, most recently as the director of Medical Service Organization Support and Provider Contracting for Humana’s central Florida market based in Tampa.

Ms Roman holds a masters degree in health administration from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
