Hub International, an insurance brokerage, has acquired New Hampshire-based employee benefit brokerage and consulting firm Workplace Benefit Solutions (WBS), for undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2001, WBS works primarily with mid- to large-size companies throughout New England. Its specialty niches include employee benefits programs for the healthcare industry and the public sector.
Following this acquisition, WBS will become part of Hub International New England, and its employees will remain in their existing office in Manchester.
According to Hub Internatioanl, David Larrivee, principal consultant and founder, and Tom DeLacey, principal consultant of WBS, will join the Hub as part of this transaction and report to Michael Chapman, chief sales officer for Hub New England.
Larrivee said this partnership will allow WBS to provide solutions to the clients and prospects alike, and enable the frim to add more value through additional tools and resources available from Hub International, which will add stability to the client base in an unpredictable market.
