The Hilb Group, a portfolio company of ABRY Partners, has acquired Florida-based independent insurance agency, Gentry Insurance Agency (GIA).
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Established in 1937, GIA provides services to multiple insurance firms, allowing them to offer enhanced insurance solutions for their individual, family and business clients.
The agency is specialized in providing auto, property, group health, worker’s comp, home, life, and business insurance services.
GIA president and owner Debra Liebknecht said: "This partnership expands our product and service offerings, and it gives us greater access to The Hilb Group’s national resources."
Hilb said that GIA is the firm’s eighth acquisition in 2015 that will expand its operations in Florida region.

In August, Hilb Group acquired North Carolina-based JWB Insurance Group, which provides specialty services in employee benefits and commercial insurance, as well as products in individual and personal lines.
The Hilb Group, which is a middle market insurance agency, provides services through its 36 offices in different states of the US.
